Your Experience: The Historical TrEno of the Langhe, Monferrato and Roero
TrEno Langhe, Monferrato and Roero, the first Historical Food and Wine Train in Italy. A unique way to visit one of the world’s most famous territories for food and wine in one day.
Traveling in a historic train is in itself a fantastic experience. Looking out of the window and admiring unique UNESCO-protected views will remain an indelible memory in the memory of those who decide to live this experience. Being gently “cradled” among hills that host villages full of history and traditions, rows of vineyards that produce some of the best wines in the world, and that sense of placid contentment you will have when opening the front door upon your return, will be the just reward. Some “storytellers of the territory” will accompany you already on the TrEno, telling you about the history and particularities of the territory you are passing through, while you enjoy an aperitif withAsti Spumante DOCG and Amaretti di Mombaruzzo.

The TrEno will leave from Torino Porta Nuova, but you can also get on at Bra or Alba. Return is scheduled for 7:00 p.m./8:00 p.m. in Torino Porta Nuova.
TrEno has Diesel or Steam traction and the cars are the Centoporte that served between the years 1928 and the 1980s and are derived from a scheme conceptually similar to stagecoaches. They feature numerous doors on each side facilitating boarding and alighting. The seats are made of wood and allow the accommodation of up to 78 passengers.
